F A Q

What are your wood prints made out of?
My work is made from used and reclaimed scaffolding boards with your photo printed onto the wood surface. It then receives 1 or  2 coats of oil varnish and then 1 coat of matt acrylic varnish. Be aware that every piece of wood is unique with knots and imperfections. All the photos are hand printed and therefore imperfections may occur, but that is usually what makes your wood print unique and gives it that vintage feel.

What sorts of photos work best?
Most photos work well. However, light colored areas and pastel colours tend to show grain the best. One other consideration is to avoid photographs with too much detail. Lots of small little things in detail will sometimes lose definition against the wood grain, knots and imperfections of the wood.

Do you do all the work?
Yes. I cut and sand the wood, print the photos, make the transfers and do the packaging in house. All the work is handmade by myself.

How long will it last?
Your wood print will last a lifetime. I use different coatings to protect the surface from physical impacts as well as UV rays (so as not to fade over time).

How does the sizing work?
It depends which size of wood you choose, I might need to crop your photo in order to get it fitted onto the wood. However, before I do the printing I will ask for your consent by sending you an example of the cropped photo.

All wood is approximately 3 cm thick.

How do I hang my wood print?
Every wood print comes with a saw tooth hanger on the back. The wood is think enough to stand on its own too.

Is my photo big enough to have it printed on a large A4 size piece of wood?
As long as the resolution from your photo/camera is high enough I can get it to work on at least the A4 large wood size. This might only be a real issue  with mobile phone photos. Email me first at hello@ohyeahwood.com if you have concerns. I do my best to optimize the photo for free before I print. If you like to have a real photo printed on wood, you can scan it and send the digital image to me. If your image is of low quality it might not look good printed at the size you want. I can still print the image but it might look blurry.

How long will it take?
From receiving your order & payment to your doorstep, it takes about 14 days.

What file format should I send in?
JPEGS with maximum quality.

What payment methods do you accept?
Paypal, debit & credit cards.

What is your return policy?
If your wood print has been delivered broken or damaged, I will be happy to to take it back and send you a new piece.
Email me at hello@ohyeahwood.com and I will be happy to help you out.
